VCCS-EDLT Online Program Review Rubric [VCCS Credential]
The VCCS-EDLT Online Program Review Rubric [VCCS Credential] is intended to provide recognition of the quality and readiness of fully online, asynchronous degree and certificate programs. Highly successful fully online, asynchronous degree and certificate programs may elect to participate in the review process in order to receive the VCCS credential identifying the program as one that meets all criteria of the VCCS-EDLT Online Program Review Rubric as determined by a review team which is outside of the home institution but within the VCCS. If successful, the program will receive a digital credential, or badge, that may be displayed on websites, college catalog pages, or anywhere the institution would like to highlight the program. Any fully online, asynchronous degree or certificate program (credit or non-credit) may participate. Programs credentialled by a VCCS-EDLT review team may display their credential for ten years before being required to complete another VCCS Credential review; however, credentialed programs desiring more frequent feedback and review may submit their credentialed program for a Review Only program review every five years. Recommendations given during a Review Only program review will have no impact on previously awarded credentials.
VCCS-EDLT Online Program Review Rubric [Review Only]
The VCCS-EDLT Online Program Review Rubric [Review Only] is intended to provide iterative feedback on the quality and readiness of fully online, asynchronous degree and certificate programs. Newly developed asynchronous programs or those newly revised for an asynchronous delivery may elect to participate in the review process in order to receive feedback from a review team outside of the home institution but within the VCCS. Likewise, institutions with asynchronous degree programs approaching SACSCOC reaffirmation may wish to participate in the review process as part of their preparation for an upcoming site visit. Any fully online, asynchronous degree or certificate program (credit or non-credit) may participate. Programs reviewed by a VCCS-EDLT review team are eligible for review every five years from the initial review.
VCCS-EDLT Course Peer Review Template
The VCCS-EDLT Course Peer Review Template was developed by the Workgroup Faculty Ad Hoc Committee and is designed to be an adaptable rubric that institutions may use for their own internal course peer review process.
